Although most known for being Michigan’s Capital, Lansing was an industrial cityscape for decades. Manufacturing, government jobs, and Michigan State University’s presence helped bolster Lansing’s population. Like many other cities in Michigan, Lansing is no stranger to hard times, but it has retained many historic buildings and much of its character, making it unique.
